Maury County
Historical Society

Who are We?
The Maury County Historical Society is a non-profit society, chartered under the laws of the State of Tennessee, for the purpose of recording the history and promoting the preservation of historical properties, records, and artifacts of Maury County. It carries out its program of activities through its duly elected directors and committees, reporting to its members by means of bi-monthly meetings, published newsletters, printed bulletins and direct correspondence.
Its membership is open to all persons who have similar interests, regardless of their residence, race, creed or station in life.
(Note: The Maury County Historical Society does not have anyone who has agreed to serve as a genealogical research person.  We are sorry that we cannot provide this kind of service to our members who live outside Maury County.  We can include your "Queries" on our Webpage. (Link to Queries), or print them in our quarterly, Historic Maury.  We have also revised our Researchers Page so that our readers can find others who are researching the same families can get together.  Please check this page out to see if you can get the help you need with your research questions.
